Along with older-established Terrot, Motobecane dominated the French motorcycle market for many years, starting production in 1922. Motobecane enjoyed a solid reputation for small capacity ohv singles with 4-speed box and build quality and suspension to cope with the French country roads.
The 125cc offered here, of 1951 vintage, hails from a very substantial Northern California collector. A quirky addition to the discerning collection, the bike is offered with fine patina. It has remained on static display since purchase a few years ago, and although reported to run well, may need further re-commissioning before returning to safe road use.
