2017 Zero Engineering Type 9. Zero Engineering has been building exquisite custom motorcycles in Okazaki City, Japan, since 1992 at the hand of artisan, Shinya Kimura. Attaining numerous awards and trophies at shows across the country, as well as TV/film credits with the Discovery Channel Program, “The Great Biker Build Off” and the movie “Iron Man” and “Iron Man 2”, Kimura has earned a formidable reputation for extreme engineering and artistic interpretation in the highly competitive U.S. market.
The Type 9
The Type 9 is the epitome of an old school design subtly engineered with a gooseneck headstock frame to accentuate the low-slung stance. The innovative rear multi-arm suspension brings the appearance of a rigid frame together with modern suspension technology – more compact and efficient than most swing-arm suspensions, it functions to offer far better traction, stability and a modern, smooth ride. Up front is a very specifically designed springer suspension, engineered to balance the bike’s weight and performance with ride comfort and stability under braking.
The long, low machine is emphasized by the S&S twin cam 1450cc engine at its heart. Built for high-speed touring it delivers reliable, seemingly infinite performance.
The Type 9 is a perfect culmination of old school style with a modern twist.
The motorcycle offered
The Zero Type 9 on offer here has been part of a discerning collection of cars and motorcycles in Los Angeles. Since purchase a couple of years ago, the bike has been used very sparingly, showing only 54 miles on the odometer, and on static display in a climate-controlled environment for the most part. It is presented in excellent, almost as-new condition.
Exquisitely appointed, with an unsurpassed attention to detail, this 2017 Zero Engineering Type 9, in a superb warm silver color with dark red seat and brass details, would make an exceptional addition to any collection or a comfortable and powerful ride.
