2013 Triumph Bonneville T100 Custom

2013 Triumph Bonneville T100 Custom

Post-World War II, Triumph’s larger twins remained recognizably similar to the first Speed Twin of 1938. Continually developed through the 1950s and ‘60s, the 650cc upright parallel twin proved to be a fantastically successful engine architecture mounted in a light and superb handling chassis. Produced in great numbers, the bike leant itself perfectly to the customizer looking to personalize their ride into a desert sled, café racer or bobber. Popularity waned through the 1970s with the onslaught of high quality, fast and technologically advanced machines from Japan, until the doors closed in the 1980s.

Then in 1990, John Bloor reintroduced the firm, immediately tapping in to the company’s history with models named Daytona, Trident and Trophy. But it took a further ten years for, arguably, the greatest name to find something suitably special. The new Bonneville was introduced in September 2001 with 800cc of upright, parallel twin, a pair of carbs a tubular steel frame, twin rear shocks, and much more than a passing resemblance to the original. The capable, easy to ride/easy to own Bonneville lends itself to just as much customization as the original.

The motorbike offered

The 2013 Triumph Bonneville T100 on offer here has been owned since 2015. Upon purchase of the bike with only 1,011 miles on the odometer, the new owner took it to marque experts, Glory Motorworks of Glendale, California for a full custom treatment. Personalizations consisted of the following:

  • LSL Ignition Lock Re-Location Kit
  • LSL Headlight Mounting Bracket Kit
  • LSL Headlamp 5 3/4″ Satin Black
  • Motogadget speedo
  • Instrument Mounting Bracket
  • Motoscope Classic Speedo, Black body and bezel
  • Biltwell Tail Lamp
  • Indicators
  • Leather ‘Slammer seat’ Brown.
  • Rear Fender, Round Profile.
  • Tail lamp / license plate bracket. Parkerised finish.
  • Ceramic Coat Exhaust

The bike was stripped of its bodywork and sent to a paint expert for the application of the flat green with cream scallops livery, pinstriped in gold.

This delightful and tasteful, well-executed custom rides as well it looks. In good tune, the bike starts easily and rides well. All systems work as they should; brakes, suspension and all electrical work perfectly. The bike needs nothing but a new owner.
