Seeing the potential of the American Jeep, UK’s Rover developed the Series 1 Land Rover in 1948. Witin the company is met with skepticism, but soon proved to be a smash with the agricultural industry in a post-war Britain – it was cheap, fantastically capable and robust in the extreme. It is said that a fair percentage of the planet see their first car in the Landie.

Other models were introduced, and by the late 1980s, the traditional Land Rover needed its own identity. Now the Defender, it was produced in 90 and 110 body styles and a plethora of configurations of body and drivetrain. A loyal customer base have proven that regardless of year, the Land Rover is one of the most recognizable classics of our time.

The black-finished 16″ Sawtooth wheels are shod with 235/85 Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx tires, and a matching spare is mounted out back. The four-wheel disc brakes were overhauled following the current owner’s acquisition of the vehicle.

The front bucket seats, second-row bench, and inward-facing rear jump seats are trimmed in gray upholstery over diamond-plate all-weather floor mats. Equipment includes JBL speakers, a touchscreen head unit, a center console with cupholders, and an air-conditioning system.
