Honda created the class of machine known as ‘monkey bikes’ with the launch of the diminutive CZ100 in 1960. Power came from the C100 step-thru’s reliable four-stroke single mounted in a package small enough to fit the trunk of a car. They proved to be immensely popular as paddock transport at racetracks all over.
Having been on static display in a Southern California collection for some time, this 1970 Honda Z50 will need full recommissioning before returning it to regular use on the highways and byways of the US.
