Description
1968 Triumph 500cc T100R Daytona
Triumph works twins attained back to back trophy success in 1966 and ’67, first in the hands of Buddy Elmore and then Gary Nixon, at Florida’s esteemed Dayton 200 mile race. From “race on Sunday, sell on Monday” mantra, the Daytona name was adopted for the firm’s 500cc twin-carb roadster.
The mini-Bonneville twin is mounted in a slightly more compact frame and with only marginally less power than its big brother, makes the Daytona an ideal twisty lane weapon.
