1956 Motobi 175cc Catria Racer

“From 1959, when one of the 172cc singles won the Italian Junior racing championships in the hands of Ambrosini, Motobi machines largely dominated this class of racing with another nine titles until their final championship win in 1972.” – Mick Walker, Italian Racing Motorcycles.

The motorbike offered

This 1956 Motobi 175cc Catria Racer was restored by avid vintage rider, Edo Vannucchi for the Milano-Taranto ride. Purchased from an Italian motorcycle aficionado for display in the MotoTalbott Museum in Carmel, California. Having been there for some time, this nicely restored rarity has been re-commissioned to ready it for sale, but further fettling may be necessary before returning it to the Giro d’Italia.
