Only 25 miles from new,
1997 Honda CB50V Dream
Frame no. AC15-1006425
Engine no. AC15E-1006498
Like a fine piece of jewelry, the intricate, delicate and graceful CB50 commemorates the successes enjoyed by Honda in their early racing history. Every bit of the 1962 CR110, at the heart of the diminutive racer, introduced in 1997, is a twin overhead-cam screaming twin with a redline at a heady 13,500rpm and a not-insignificant 7bhp packed in to a mere 157 lbs. Immensely popular, especially in Japan, the model proved the viability of a full-race CB50R, released in 2004, and a plethora of after-market companies and parts-suppliers.
The example offered here, was, until recently, owned from new by a local Southern California collector. Upon his passing, the bike was purchased by our vendor, serviced and detailed and put back on static display in his living room. With only 25 miles on the odometer, the bike is generally in as-new condition throughout. The only detraction is at the top of the tank, where the finish is blemished – see photos.
Complete with a full set of books and brochures, original keys, and California plate “97CR110” in non-op status for easy and cheap transfer.
