1958 Moto Guzzi 175cc Lodola Sport
Engine no. *LFD49*
Introduced in 1956, Moto Guzzi’s Lodola was powered by a 175cc single OHC engine mounted in a duplex loop frame. The last design to be penned by Carlo Guzzi, the Lodola was less of an out-and-out performance machine, but offered very reasonable power and typically Italian great handling.
This last year example of the 175cc Sport, before the company increased engine capacity to 235cc, is offered in superbly original and unmolested condition. Imported from Italy several years ago, the bike still sports its original Borrani rims, and was fully re-commissioned and serviced, including new battery and tires, to bring it to great riding mechanical condition. An obvious Preservation Class candidate at any concours. The only variance from original factory spec is an upgrade to the rear brake with a later Lodola 235GT full width hub for better braking and increased rideability.
The bike is sold with a clean, clear California title.
